The Indesit Moon Washing Machine SIXL145 is an innovative new front loading washing machine from Indesit. It is eco-friendly, has a cool modern design and a unique interface.
The Moon has been awarded an energy efficiency rating of A+, and wash efficiency of A and a spin efficiency of B, making it one of the more energy efficient washing machines on the market. It has a spin speed of up to 1400RPM and will take a load of up to 6KG.
Created by Italian designer Giugiaro, the Moon Washing Machine looks different to other machines. The design has no external fittings, is lit by blue LEDs on the innovative controls, and has a unique coloured door in a choice of silver in the white machine or blue on the silver version.
Most of us only use about four of the programmes on our washing machines so Indesit have simplified the programme setting by letting the machine choose the most suitable programme for each type of washing
So it takes only one touch to set programmes thanks to the revolutionary control panel - reminiscent of an iPod control - and its ergonomic design with just four buttons for instant setting of any type of washing.
Don’t you hate it when you find half the washing powder remains in the dispenser drawer? The Indesit Moon has a unique self-cleaning dispenser inside the door which delivers detergent directly into the wash which can give up to 50% more cleaning power , with none left in the drawer.
Once the washing machine has started, the Moon’s programme controls the wash using its "Smart Solutions" to guarantee the best results every time. All the Moon automatically regulates temperature, wash intensity and spin speed for every kind of fabric, giving you perfect results and also protecting even the most delicate fibres
The "Variable Load" function checks the quantity of laundry loaded into the machine and sets the right amount of water, energy and length of wash. This also gives the Moon its excellent energy efficiency.
An internal load balancing system is keeps vibration to a minimum. Even traces of detergent residue on your clothes should become just a memory with the Indesit Moon, thanks to special sensors that automatically detect the amount of detergent remaining in the water. The Moon will automatically run up to 2 extra rinses if needed.
The Indesit Moon has won a number of prestigious design awards. In Greece, the Moon was admitted to the Best of the Best, an annual supplement to Status, the prestigious fashion, design and luxury magazine. The Moon was judged best product in the Style Home category for its combination of beauty and simplicity of design with an offering of high performance, easy to use functions. While in the UK, the Moon was voted “product of the year” in the washing category by Get Connected, a magazine specializing in consumer electronics and home technology.
The Chicago Athenaeum - Museum of Architecture and Design has given the Giugiaro designed Moon the 2007 Good Design Award in the “Bathroom” category. Just a few days after winning the “Janus de l’Industrie” (Institut Français du Design) and the “Kitchen Product of the Year” (London Designer Awards), the Moon washing machine was awarded the Polish “Zlota Villa”, conferred by the country’s prestigious “Villa” design magazine.
