Ideal Home Show 200814 March – 6 April 2008, Earls Court LondonMarking one hundred years of iconic home innovation, the Daily Mail Ideal Home Show kicks off its centenary celebrations on Friday 14 March, 2008. An incredible collection of home inspiration under one roof, the UK’s best loved home show has always been the place to find the latest in home innovation. Over the last 100 years it has been the launch pad for countless household legends including the toaster and electric kettle (1920), the electric grass mower (1970), the microwave (1947) and the largest home plasma screen (2006). The show also unveiled the first ‘energy efficient kitchen’ in 1989. This year, to mark the Ideal Home Show’s commitment to environmental issues, the show will be holding a light bulb amnesty. All visitors who bring an old light bulb can exchange it for a free energy saving bulb. There are a number of exciting special exhibitions at this year's Ideal Home Show
